Uniloy Inc., a blow molding machine and mold supplier serving the global plastics processing industry, has purchased certain assets of defunct Amsler Equipment Inc. (Vaughn, ON). Uniloy now can provide services and spare parts for Amsler-branded equipment.

Uniloy purchased the assets from the receiver and trustee in the bankruptcy of Niigon Machines Ltd., which was in possession of the assets abandoned by its tenant, Amsler Equipment. The purchase of assets occurred on Feb. 9, 2022. Terms were not disclosed.

Uniloy said that it will support all Amsler-branded PET stretch blow molding machines, trimmers, leak testers, and ancillaries. The purchase also will allow Uniloy to further expand its PET mold products. All operations for Uniloy PET will be conducted at Uniloy headquarters in Tecumseh, MI.

“With the closure of Amsler Equipment Inc. operations in Vaughn, Uniloy saw an opportunity to provide our industry-leading blow molding expertise, service network, and knowledgeable associates to assist those that had been left without support,” said Uniloy President and CEO Brian Marston. “At this point in time, our plan is to reach out to existing Amsler equipment owners and let them know they can count on Uniloy to support their assets.”

To ensure that all owners of Amsler-branded equipment receive the expert support they deserve, Uniloy has enlisted former Amsler CEO Bruce Coxhead as well as other Amsler technical staff.

“The most important message I have to those that currently have Amsler equipment — rest assured, you’re in good hands,” said Coxhead. “I’ve worked with Brian for many years and am very familiar with the team at Uniloy. They’re the perfect fit to provide a seamless transition for all of the equipment owners left without options after Amsler closed its doors.”
